Pale Horse Ranch

Bay Roan Filly
Six month old filly, unique bay roan, both parents are on the ranch and available for viewing, filly can be registered with the APHA, stud is Blue Valentine, mare is APHA registered, parents are 15 hands and 16 hands, she will be a nice riding/working size when she is grown. The stud has been phenomenal for us, easy to work with and a joy to ride weather in the breeding pastures or the stock yards, and the mare was the wife’s personal horse before she entered the breeding program, sweet personality, loves to be with you, and easy to work to. This filly reminds me of her mom at that age, she is thirty days weaned, she was born and raised in a large pasture with the mare herd, she has been raised right with lots of people interaction, lots of horse interaction, running every day with her mom through hills, forest, open pastures, crossing creeks, and drinking in the ponds. Red Roan Filly
Seven month old quarter horse filly, beautiful red roan, both parents are on the ranch and available for viewing, filly is AQHA, stud is Blue Valentine and Thermoledo, mare is Zippo Pine Bar bred, parents are 15.1 hands and 16 hands, both parents are very stout horses so the filly should have some size and width to her when she is grown. As with all our breeding stock we ride and work both stud and mare for years before they enter our breeding program, and they have been good working horses for us. This filly is going to be a mover and with her color a real head turner, sixty days weaned, she was born and raised in a large pasture with the mare herd, she has been raised right with lots of people interaction, lots of horse interaction, running every day with her mom through hills, forest, open pastures, crossing creeks, and drinking in the ponds. Rebels Toast
“Toast” is a 14 years old quarter horse gelding, toast has had an amazing career, before he came to the ranch he was a race horse with seven wins and many podium placements, he came to us for barrel racing training but he was so nice to work with we decided to keep him. For the last five years toast is the horse we put green hands on when we are covering rough country or working rank cattle, he always takes care of his rider and does not let them get into trouble. He has stood like a rock in a river and let cows run around him and even under him without spooking when a green rider has put him in the wrong place in the stockyard, many times. He is surefooted in the hills and has good speed when asked but prefers a more relaxed pace. Toast will be missed in the working pen, but we must make room for younger horse. Grey Filly

Scout
This is a video of Scouts first ride and first day of training, he is going to be a great horse for someone. Very calm and willing to learn. Scout is every kids dream horse, big enough at 13.3 hands to cover ground and built heavy enough to pull cattle or carry adults around but short enough to get on without a ladder. When you look at him your imagination wanders to the old west and a young cowboy riding an indian war horse, and when you ride scout you feel like you are the hero riding of the screen of an old western movie. Possum
Possum is 9 year old draft cross gelding, he is a head turner with his powerful but well proportioned build, striking paint markings and stunning blue eyes. He is named possum because when he was a foal he would lay out in the pasture on his side and everyone would think he was deceased, he would not wake up until you walked up and touched him. Since he likes “playing possum” he got named Possum, he loves being with you, possum is never happier than during grooming time, he loves being brushed out, handled and petted. While he is not an extremely tall fellow at 15 hands he is wide, and has amazingly smooth movement. Possum is an impressive horse to see, powerfully built but with fluid movement and presence. He is an easy keeper, gets fat on air, pleasant to work around and with. No known health problems, up to date on vaccines and coggins. Possum is a beautiful example of a big ranch raised horse. He has had 30 days of ground work and has just started his under saddle training. He is showing great potential. The Mighty Pudding Foot
“Pudding” is a 14 years old quarter horse gelding, he has been a valued member of the ranch working pen for about six years now, but it is time to make room for the younger horses coming up in the training program. So pudding is available for a new rider. Pudding has worked on all aspects of ranch life from checking the big fences, to sorting yearlings, to separating and dragging bulls, to caring the girls to play days. He is a big guy with great movement, well balanced, learns quickly, and likes to work. Mustang Sally
“Sally” is a 13 years old grade mare, she has been part of the ranch for seven years, while she has never excelled in any discipline enough to compete full time she is a regular at play days, has been a great lesson horse and has been many happy folks first ride on the trails. Sally is sweet, easy to work with, she is a super easy keeper. If you are looking for a horse that is easy to take care of, fun to ride, and sweet as the day is long Sally is your girl.
