The Texas Experience
Dates open for Spring and Fall 2026
Come live the Cow Boy way of life on a living breathing working cattle ranch, in Big Sandy Texas!
You will learn to ride a horse, rope a calf, check the fences, move bulls and so much more. There will be Trail riding, Hiking, and roping. Learn to ride a bull or how to barrel race, there will be hunting and fishing and so much more!! There will be a cattle drive and a mini Rodeo followed by an end of the week celebration. So much to do and only a week to do it!!!
Spring dates are April 4, 2026-April 12, 2026.
Fall Dates are October 3, 2026- October 11, 2026
Private dates available for groups of 4 or more
All packages include breakfast, lunch and dinner daily for entire trip, each guest will experience,
Trail Rides, Calf Roping, Bull Riding class, barrel racing, fishing, hunting(optional), hiking, Star gazing,Hay growing and cultivating, feeding and animal care, Horsemanship 101, Cattle Drive, Mini Rode and end of week Celebration dinner and dance!
Three packages available
Basic Package includes all events, you will be house in a Custom TP with 2 to 3 other guests.
Deluxe Package includes all events, you will be housed in your private TP. Deluxe package also include Archery lessons and Clay shooting day, romantic Starry night dinner by the pond on day requested, Airport transport available
Platinum Package includes all events, you will have you private camper trailer with private restroom, sleeps 4 to 6 for families. Platinum also has Archery lessons and Clay shooting available daily, also received one Starry night message on day of your choosing. Starry night dinner by the pond on day chosen. Airport transport via Luxury transport available.

HORSE BREEDING AND SALES
We operate a focused American Quarter Horse breeding program, and often have select horses young and older for sale.
We currently have two AQHA Standing studs. Watch for our Meet the Boys page coming soon!
The ranch store offers a selection of tack made in our own leather shop, tooled and stitched by hand. We also offer gifts and home decor items made on the ranch many made out of materials sourced on the ranch.
RODEOS
Enter or come out and enjoy the wonderous spectacle that is TEXAS Rodeo, we host all rodeo events from barrel racing to bull riding
HORSE BOARDING
Bording available for all types of horses and riders from pasture self-care to full care private stall boarding. Pale Horse Ranch is currently able to accomodate 100 pasture board clients and 12 Barn kept full care board clients.
We offer two types of pasture board.
Pasture Board -86 spots available currently as of 7/14/2025.
Full Care Pasture Board includes-
-Your horse brought up and fed grain twice daily minimum
-Your horse checked on daily
-If Hay is needed during Winter Hay will be provided
Self Care Pasture Board-86 spots available currently as of 7/14/2025
Self Care horses are only provided safe pasture, and water. Owner is responsible for any grain feeding daily, Owner must check on horse once daily. If hay is needed in winter owner will be billed for round bale-cost is split between boarders in that pasture.
Full Care Barn include
-Turn out daily
-Hay fed daily
-Grain Twice daily minimum
-stall cleaning
(If grain needed is not what we feed on site there will be added cost for purchase of required grain.)
All Boarders have access to our covered arena, three round pens, and miles of trails included beautiful ponds to swim your horse in.

HAY SALES
The ranch raises organic Costal Bermuda hay that is heavily fertilized, with all-natural fertilizer and prepared into small squares or large rounds for you with the best machinery the industry has to offer, ask us why our hay is better for your horse or cattle we love to talk about hay.
EQUIPMENT SALES
If you are looking for a new to you trailer, arena drag, tractor or other quality used equipment visit our equipment corner.
CATTLE SALES
The Pale Horse raises several herds of purebred and commercial cattle. Breeds available are Brahman, Braford, Brangus, ABBI, Longhorn, and Corriente. All ages available cattle also sold by the side and the quarter for the table.
BUCKING BULLS
The ranch runs weekly buck outs, with bulls from our ABBI breeding program. If you are looking for a young bull to take to futurities, or you want to own a rodeo legend let us help you. Bulls from yearlings to seasoned bucking stock available.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, trial riding, bird watching, and star gazing to name a few of the experiences that the ranch has to offer.
SPECIAL OCCASIONS
We would be honored to provide a venue for your special occasion. We have hosted, weddings, birthdays, corporate retreats, family reunions, and just plain have a good time parties.
RODEO STOCK
Whether you need saddle broncs or roping cattle we raise, sell, and lease all types of stock for your rodeo needs.
CLINICS
Join us for a clinic day to increase your knowledge and enjoyment of your favorite equine or rodeo event. Learn how to throw a BIG LOOP at our ranch roping clinic, or try your hand at sorting, in a relaxed friendly environment, or if you like adrenaline enter one of our bull riding classes, for a full list check the calendar.
EVENTS
The ranch hosts public events throughout the year including, mounted shooting, cowboy polo, extreme cowboy races, Jack Rabbit Easter Egg Hunts, Fourth of July BBQ, Halloween Haunted Ranch, Christmas Traditions, and others. Check out our current event flyers and join us!! We are happy to have you!
